Hi,
My name is Steve and at age 26 I have been diagnosed with SPD by an OT. Around January this year I had an onset of symptoms that got worse over time. I had no idea what is was, the doctors didn't really know so I sought help from an OT.
Having read more into SPD I believe it is something I have had all my life, I just thought alot of the symptoms were normal.
The part I am finding the hardest to come to terms with is not being able to be a full time teacher anymore. I love my job but expecting my classes to be quiet and work in a darkened room is not a realistic expectation.
I enjoy maths, (alot!) and am interested in using it to predict the outcome of horseraces! I also enjoy playing the drums and piano.
So, hi! Any advice / support would be greatly received
Steve
