Thanks heaps everyone. I had a terrible day today. I put her
In her room and she trashed it. She had meltdowns all morning
And then the big one came. I left her in her room after I couldn't
Take it anymore and locked the door after she was calling me a wanker
And chucking things out of her room. For the first time I walked outside
Because I needed to get away. I left her longer than usual because
I wasn't coping and then I heard the smash. She smashed her
Window and upended her room. She smashed her beautiful
Big doll house and all her beautiful things. I came in and she had blood on her
Hands. I was so upset. My husband asked her later why she did it and she said
Because mummy locked me in my room so I smashed the window. Felt so down
And flat. Sometimes I feel like I'm walking on egg shells with her
And I'm so worried for her future. Sometimes I also feel resentful and like its not fair
However a positive was I got the call from
The OT today (god was watching, ha ha) so I pray that this will help.

Sunshine, I really wish you'd check out the Feingold Diet. The more I read your posts, the more I believe it would help your daughter.

When I used to babysit my darling "nephew" (really just my best friends autistic little brother whom I-what a surprise- have always had a strange connection with!) we'd go out all the time. When any jerk would say something rude, I had plenty to say!
"That's funny, he just said the same about you!"
"Wow! I guess it really IS Be An Ignorant D****bag Day!"
And basically variations of that. You can even google "great comebacks" and just modify them to fit the situation. Obviously this is only for jerks, anyone who is polite and actually just curious can get a real explanation lol. I'm also a very vocally uninhibited person, opinionated and defensive hehe so my approach mayyyy be a bit on the edgy side :p
I am not empty; I'm more like everything all at once.
I am not crazy; I'm more like burning through this life like the sun.

Sounds like me, I have to stop my mind sometimes before my abrupt response comes out of my mouth! It just gets me so fired up! I had to sub in this room the other day where there was a student teacher. There was a little girl in there who OBVIOUSLY has something going on! She sat in her chair and rocked and hummed, she would write on paper and obsessively erase it, she could not stop herself from something she was working on, her speech was unintelligible. Well... what did this student teacher do yell, cut her down, etc... Well that lasted with me for about 5 min. I ended up being her one on one the whole day. During specials and lunch I TRIED to explain to this close minded witch that if you watch her behaviors you will see that she needs extra help. ' Well her family treats her like a princess and she is just spoiled!" OH MAN! I wanted to just bust out my Muay Thai moves with a head kick! I said ..... " This may be true but if you watch her behaviors you will see there is more to it, give her short term goals to reach. She cannot help herself and needs to be taught how to work appropriately in a classroom. " I tried to model this by per lesson I would give her something to work towards if she tried to stay on task. She had taken her pony holder out of her hair, she needed something to have in her hands all the time. I had her twirl the rubber band between her two index fingers. WOW! she sat through a lesson!!!!!!!!!! This woman is going to be a teacher! This is what is scary!!!! I know I am rambling but.... it is people like this who make me CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!! Why not try and see if something helps instead of just assuming they are " a spoiled child!!!" I wish I had a job where I go secretly into schools and watch teachers to make sure they are doing their job!
