Hi, my name is Kate. I currently have a 5 year old son that we believe has SPD. We are currently waiting for an appointment for a proper diagnosis.
My son currently started Kindergarten this year and is having some difficult time adjusting to school. He has needed to have constant attention throughout the entire day. We have noticed some of these issues before, however, they seem to have become stronger since starting school, where it is becoming very apparent. Last year, when we saw some very small signs I was recommended to try a vitamin called Behavior Balance. It has worked wonders for him. I am here to try to hear some stories of others plans, especially kids that are in lower elementary or anyone that has dealt with this. I want to get as much information as I can to help my son become successful in school. The school he attends is being wonderful as they want to see him succeed as well, which I am 100 percent thankful for.
My son really tries to overcome as much as he can and I understand that he can't help it, he cannot really communicate his feelings until way after an event or incident happens. I want to do my best to help him out, so any information or advice would be helpful.
I hope to get to know all of you as well!!

Hi, kate11. I'm not a professional, just an adult with SPD. But I wanted to say that it's great that you are helping him to get this issue addressed early in his life.
