I'm very addicted to caffeine. After 20 years, I was finally able to break my soda/pop/soft drink addiction, but now I've substituted coffee (mostly lattes). I mostly wanted to cut back on my sugar intake, not necessarily the caffeine. I don't think I could ever give up caffeine. I had thought it was related to my depression, but maybe it's an SPD thing?

I am addicted to caffeine. I went off it for a year and had headaches every day that year and I was very sleepy. It was one of the few times in my life that I was able to lose weight. After a year the cravings hadn't abated and I just gave into the addiction. Although for a while I was able to keep it to just one soda a day. At the moment I am at 3 sodas a day and that is way too much (my weight and fat is exploding despite the rest of my diet being carefully controlled and exercising).
