Hi I'm new here as well, My son is 3 yr old and was officially diagnosed a few months ago. We had sleep issues for as long as I can remember. We finally had a breakthrough when my older son (7 yrs old) started setting up all their stuff animals around the bed (they have bunk beds) to stand guard. We also have an electronic sound machine (it has 50 different fan or white noise choices). That seems to drown out any house noises that would normally bother our little one. He also sleeps with a weighted duck stuffed animal that has lavender flowers inside it. We thought about a weighted blanket as well be held off for the same reason - the weighted stuffed animal seems to help - he can hug it and squish it and since it is weighted it has a bit more resistance than a normal pillow or stuffed animal.

I will confess when we are going through a really rough patch (iE holidays, traveling, etc) we do use a pediatrician recommended dose of Zarbees melatonin. It does help him fall asleep and seems to get his body on track.
