Hi !! Just found out about this website on Facebook . I'm friends with SPD connect and other SPD pages that's on facebook. What brought me here was, just to have a connection with the parents who are going through the same thing. I can definitley use advice and give it as well. I have a 5 yr old son who had a stroke at birth . He's literally a miracle child. He can walk, talk etc . All the things the doctors said he wasn't go do . He also has sensory processing disorder . I'm his only advocate and will do whatever I have to for him. It's nice to have people to talk to who understands.

Hi and welcome, Renz!

I go to some of the Facebook pages too, but i also like it here! I can get overwhelmed in large groups, even online. The smaller group here is slower, but everyone is friendly and helpful! Hope you'll jump right in!

Thank you Bernadette ! He's healed !! I'm defintley grateful and blessed. My son is definitley a sensory seeker. He seeks out all type of movement to get input . Even in school . He's sensitive to loud noises . He's currently on an IEP . How about you ? What are your child sensory needs ? Are you in Ohio?

Hi Renz, no I'm in Australia Big Grin My daughter is 21 and a sensory avoider and has some praxis issues, it's only been about the last 5 years that I've known about SPD and before that she was just sweet and beautiful but 'different'. Where I live you wouldn't get an IEP for a child with sensory processing disorder, even now, unless they also had severe learning difficulties and/or autism.
