I agree that sensory processing disorder can go hand in hand with other disorders. To answer your question, definitely. That is exactly what tactile defensiveness feels like. I thought of the being shocked analogy myself, and you thought of it yourself. I actually do scream at the top of my lungs when I'm physically close to someone. Liking deep pressure is a tactile defensiveness thing.[/font]

Oh my goodness. I am the EXACT same way about massage and light/deep touches. They crazy part? I have a part on my back that no matter what the touch is, I jump. I can't help it and it embarrasses me. If the touch is deep enough the jumping isn't as bad, but I don't think mine goes away with work though. I'm so glad it's not just me that does the jumping!!
